Greek gods of this ancient world
hear me.
My plight is not mine as a mortal.
My task is much too great
For me to die doing something which has no end.
The powers are beyond me to conquer my desire.
Give me the gift of immortality
And put death out of my sight
My request is only for a quality you take for granted,
But one which I will put on my pedestal of life.
I must live forever
To explore this abyss
To walk on its floor
I must live forever
To have it become me
The have it flow through my veins.
I must live forever
To learn everything there is in love
I must live forever,
hear me.
My plight is not mine as a mortal.
My task is much too great
For me to die doing something which has no end.
The powers are beyond me to conquer my desire.
Give me the gift of immortality
And put death out of my sight
My request is only for a quality you take for granted,
But one which I will put on my pedestal of life.
I must live forever
To explore this abyss
To walk on its floor
I must live forever
To have it become me
The have it flow through my veins.
I must live forever
To learn everything there is in love
I must live forever,
To love her
